I wish I could say that the weather was Spring like, but where I live in western Canada we are still knee deep in snow. However, I still like to plan for the seasons and talking about warmer weather helps me feel better about it.
After reading various magazines and blogs about the Spring trends. I have to say I’m quite inspired.
Being a thrifter I get excited when I see trends that can easily be found second hand.
Here are my top picks:
1. Bold Stripes
Always a classic for spring but I love that bold and bright colours are back! Easy to find in sweaters and shirts in bold colours
2. Classic florals
Florals aren’t just for your grandma anymore. They continue to be soft and classically beautiful and can be dressy in skirts or dresses or can look great paired with your ripped jeans or shorts.
3. Gingham/Picnic Chic
I’ve been really loving gingham lately. It has that cute vintage vibe and is very feminine. I’m excited to thrift some cute gingham pieces.
4. Feminine utility
I can’t say I’ve ever used this term before but think military look, pockets, belts in cottons and linens in soft spring colours like blush paired with the usual khaki and olive greens. It’s very fresh and pretty!

5. Floral embroidery
This trend is popping up everywhere and it is very reminiscent of the 80’s and 90’s. Who remembers those cute black flats with floral embroidery or cardigans and jeans with cute floral details. I’m excited to scour my local thrift stores for some cute vintage versions.
So I am excited to start my thrifting hunt for these looks and I’ll certainly keep you posted with what I find! I’d love to hear from you if you find any too!
Happy Thrifting 🌸💗🌼
